Azimuth Technical Services
providing consulting services to the wireless and environmental engineering industries
Azimuth Technical Services provides an array of services to the environmental engineering industry, including:

  • NPDES Stormwater Pollution Prevention

The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program requires sources that discharge pollutants directly into U.S. waters to obtain a permit limiting pollutants and assuring that the effluent will not harm water quality or public health. Azimuth Technical Services provides the following consulting services to assist facilities in achieving and maintaining compliance with NPDES requirements:
      • Preparation and Submittal of NPDES Stormwater Permits
      • Preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans
      • Semi-annual site inspections as required by NPDES Permits
      • Field sampling of stormwater runoff

  • Offsite Consequence Analysis Reports for Clean Air Act Risk Management Programs

Working in conjuction with associated Professional Engineers, Azimuth Technical Services provides topograhic analysis, surrounding area reconnaissance, census data and computer modeling for RMP Offsite Consequence Reports. Azimuth Technical Services has prepared Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide RMPs for over thirty municipal water and wastewater treatments plants in several states over the past ten years.

  • Vulnerability Assessment for compliance with the Public Health Security and Bio-Terrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002

The Safe Drinking Water Act (title XIV of the Public Health Service Act) requires each community water system serving a population of greater than 3,300 persons to conduct an assessment of the vulnerability of its system to a terrorist attack or other intentional acts intended to substantially disrupt the ability of the system to provide a safe and reliable supply of drinking water. Working in conjuction with associated Professional Engineers and utilizing the Sandia RAM-W Method, Azimuth Technical Services provides site mapping, perimeter inspections and photographic documentation for Vulnerability Assessments.

  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

One of Azimuth's service areas is Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA). These field investigations include inspections for aboveground and underground storage tanks (AST / UST), leaking ASTs and USTs, asbestos, hazardous substances, solvents, and potential Superfund sites. Azimuth Technical Services performs every ESA in accordance with ASTM E1527-00, which defines good commercial and customary practices in the U.S. for conducting environmental site assessments.
